|Vera Natura is situated in southern Spain in the province of Almeria
in northern tip of Andalucia.
The market town of Vera lies several kms from the coast and has several supermarkets and on saturday morning there is a general market.
The little town of Garrucha was originally a fishing village and still has a fishmarket well worth visiting. Besides a few modern supermarkets there are many restaurants, amongst others fish restaurants.
|A few miles along the coast you willl find Mojacar strip with many
restaurants, shops and hotel accomodation. Recently Mojacar gained a golfcourse.
Some kilometers inland from Mojacar strip you will fild the old, pittoresque Mojacar village situated on a hilltop.
For daytrips one might visit the world famous Alhambra in Granada, the old city of Carthagena with ruins of a roman amphitheater or the beautiful old innercity of Murcia.
Nature lovers may want to visit the Cabo de Gata nature reserve.
For the children there is the recently opened nearby aquatic parc (Parque AcuŠtico Vera) or Mini Hollywood with its own zoo. Also worth a visit are the caves of Sorbas (Cuevas de Sorbas).
